Microsoft ® Outlook 2003 Email Setup Guide
In this tutorial we will be setting up an email address for the domain yourdomain.com.au, replace yourdomain.com.au with the domain name you have purchased or setting up.
Step 1 of 7: Launch Microsoft Outlook from your desktop, by double-clicking on the shortcut icon.
If it’s not on your desktop, try opening it from Start >>> Programs >>> Microsoft Office >>> Microsoft Outlook 2003.

Step 2 of 7: In the Outlook menu bar, click on Tools and select E-mail Accounts.

Step 3 of 7: Select the Add a new e-mail account option and click Next.

Step 4 of 7: Choose the POP3 option and click Next.

Step 5 of 7:

In the Your Name field, type the name you would like to appear in the “From” field of any emails you send.

In the E-mail Address field, type your email address as provided to you (eg. name@yourdomain.com.au)

In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field, type mail.yourdomain.com.au

In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, type mail.yourdomain.com.au

In the User Name and Password fields, type your email address and password

Make sure the Remember password option is ticked

Make sure the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) option is NOT selected

Click on More Settings
Step 6 of 7: In this window, click on the Outgoing Server tab and ensure that the checkbox is checked, and the circle next to Use same settings my incoming mail server is filled, then click on the Advanced tab.

Step 7 of 7: On the Advanced tab, ensure that the information is the same as reflected below.
Incoming server (POP3): 110
Outgoing server (SMTP): 26

NOTE: If you will be using webmail to check your emails when you are not using your own PC to check your emails ie. Internet Cafe ensure that Leave a copy of messages on the server is ticked, otherwise Outlook will remove them every time you receive an email. Depending on the size of you mailbox, you will need to clean out your emails by loging into the webamail system and removing them.
When done, click " OK " and then " Next "

Microsoft Outlook 2003 is now configured to send and receive emails via your server.
